Exploring the Night Sky

Locate and identify stellar objects by observing the night sky utilizing telescopes, binoculars and star charts. This class will introduce you to basic astronomy with an emphasis on naked eye and telescopic observation of the night sky. We will conduct an elementary study of the moon, planets, stars, constellations, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. This class is for beginners and moderately advanced students and includes both classroom and under the sky observation.
