Create the magical feeling of a waterscape environment with blue waters and frothy waves using acrylics and alternative mixed media materials. Gayle will guide you with her rule breaking techniques to bring your expressive artistry onto a canvas. Whether you’re just learning how to paint or wanting to gain confidence, this is the class for you! You will love learning in this supportive and nurturing class. Please read:  Students must supply materials listed on confirmation and website: Scroll down to bottom of the page on the left hand side under ‘Quick Links’ and click on ‘Material Lists’ or click the link entitled, LINK HERE, located in the course description. ________________________________________________________ Materials Required: BRUSHES: (sizes of brushes are suggestions/ note you may use your watercolor synthetic brushes. DO NOT use natural hair brushes. Wash brushes properly) • 1” inch square • #3 rigor, script, or liner brush. (Long and Thin) • #8 or 10 round brush • #2 bright bristle brush • Palette knife (credit card, nail clipper, emery board, pocket knife will work) | PIGMENTS: (Golden / Liquitex /etc. any professional grade) • Any quality acrylic is fine. Fluid or Hard Body Fine | RECOMMENDED COLORS: (a set is fine) .Bring colors you love. Think Seascape colors. • Titanium White • Note: Colors don’t have to be exact. Make sure to pick a blue & red that creates a good purple. Bring your favorite colors if you already have them. | CANVAS: • 12 by 12 cotton artist stretched canvas suggested. Squares work better for abstract. (Gallery wrap okay- any size will work. • (Available to purchase at class.) Contact instructor to save one. | PALETTE: • Styrofoam plate is a good start. Disposable paper palette or aluminum foil also work. | EXTRA ITEMS: • 2 water containers, toothbrush, toilet paper, paint rag, pencil, and small piece of sponge. (I will supply rice papers, molding paste, gesso, glues, gel medium and more…) • Bring things you might want to share and experiment with.
