Learn the basics of jewelry making while creating your own unique bracelet and earrings to give as a gift or keep for yourself! We’ll discuss the different materials used in common jewelry projects, the tools you’ll need and the steps to complete your own custom tailored jewelry. Students must supply materials listed on confirmation and website: LINK HERE (or purchase from instructor at class for $10).

Please read:  Students must supply materials listed on confirmation and website: Scroll down to bottom of the page on the left hand side under ‘Quick Links’ and click on ‘Material Lists’ or click the link entitled, LINK HERE, located in the course description. ________________________________________________________ Materials Required: *TOOLS: • wire cutters • round nose pliers • 2 chain nose pliers (any jewelry pliers labeled "chain nose", "flat nose" or "bent nose" will work. If they say "needle nose" make sure they are jewelry pliers that are smooth on the inside and not rough/serrated like the needle nose pliers you would find at the hardware store.) • crimping pliers (aka crimper tool) *Most craft stores carry an inexpensive starter kit that contains everything except the crimping tool. They are not as high of quality as brands like Beadalon or BeadSmith, but they will get you by for most simple/beginner projects. If you are taking the class with a friend, you can share a set of tools between two people. | **SUPPLIES: • Bead stringing wire (7 or 19 strand) • At least one full package/strand of beads 3mm-8mm in size (glass, stone or metal beads are all acceptable - no pearls or large hole beads) • 1 clasp for bracelet (toggle or lobster claw) • 2 earring hooks • 4 open jump rings • 2 closed jump rings • 4 crimp tubes, size #2 • 4 headpins **Note supplies will also be available for purchase at class.
