You will be entertained and informed by this introductory presentation about the natural history of birds in the Sierra Nevada. Topics include an introduction to birds and where they’re found, habitat associations, recent population trends, bird vocalizations, and the origins of bird names. This class is appropriate for all levels of birders—beginners to experienced. An optional morning field trip sponsored by Sierra Foothills Audubon will be led by the instructor the Saturday following the class. Materials: $35 optional at class for book.
